First-mile data integration: import from any tool, map with AI, never overwrite
Any tool, any spreadsheet, one verified record: AI-assisted mapping checked by a person, with every version kept.
Farmer1st's data integration brings farmer, plot and transaction data from any vendor, field tool or spreadsheet into one verified first-mile record. AI-assisted mapping proposes how fields match and a person validates it; duplicates are resolved; every version is kept. The result connects to your ERPs and compliance platforms through APIs, webhooks and files.
Data integration
Any source
Field tools, cooperative systems, certification databases, spreadsheets and exports from any vendor.
AI-assisted mapping
The system proposes how each source field matches the first-mile record; a person reviews and validates the mapping.
Deduplication
The same farmer or plot arriving from several sources is recognised and resolved to one verified record.
History never overwritten
Every import and correction creates a new version, so you can always see what changed, when and from which source.
Connects both ways
APIs, webhooks and files (CSV, GeoJSON, KML, Shapefile) link the record to your ERPs and compliance platforms.
How it works
- 01
Connect the source
Upload files or connect a system; we accept the formats your tools already produce.
- 02
Map and validate
AI-assisted mapping proposes field matches and transformations; your team or ours validates them.
- 03
Clean and merge
Records are checked, duplicates resolved and geometries validated, with each decision recorded.
- 04
Share onward
Verified data flows to your ERP, compliance platform or reporting through APIs, webhooks or files.
What you get
- One verified record from many sources
- No more re-keying between systems
- A full audit trail of every change
- Existing tools kept, not replaced
Why is first-mile data so fragmented?
A typical supply base is described in many places at once: a cooperative’s spreadsheet, a certification database, a field tool used by one programme, an exporter’s ERP, a compliance platform. Each holds part of the truth, in its own format, with its own identifiers. The same farmer appears under three spellings; the same plot has two different polygons.
Re-keying this data by hand is slow and introduces errors. Choosing one source and ignoring the others loses information. Data integration solves this by bringing every source into one verified first-mile record.
What sources can Farmer1st bring in?
Any source that can export its data:
- field data collection tools from any vendor;
- cooperative and farmer group registers;
- certification and audit databases;
- ERP exports of suppliers and transactions;
- spreadsheets, however they are organised;
- geometry files in CSV, GeoJSON, KML and Shapefile.
Integration can be a one-off migration, a regular file drop or a live connection through APIs and webhooks.
How does AI-assisted mapping work?
Every source names and structures its data differently. AI-assisted mapping reads the source and proposes how each field matches the first-mile record, including the transformations needed, such as splitting names, converting units or standardising village names.
A person then reviews and validates the mapping. Nothing is imported on the basis of an unreviewed guess. Once validated, the mapping is saved and reused for the next import from the same source, so regular updates take minutes.
How are duplicates and conflicts handled?
| Situation | What happens |
|---|---|
| Same farmer from two sources | Recognised and resolved to one verified record, with both origins kept |
| Same plot with two polygons | Both are validated by the geo service; the best one is retained, the other kept in history |
| New values in a later import | A new version is created; differences are flagged for review |
| Records that fail checks | Flagged with a reason and routed for correction |
Farmer1st keeps a versioned history that is never overwritten. You can always see which source said what, and when, which is exactly what an auditor asks for.
How does verified data get back to our other systems?
Farmer1st complements the ecosystem rather than replacing it. Once data is verified, it flows onward to the ERPs, compliance platforms and reporting tools you already use:
- APIs for systems that pull data on demand;
- webhooks for systems that need to react when something changes, such as a plot status or a new DDS reference;
- files in CSV, GeoJSON, KML or Shapefile for everything else.
This makes Farmer1st the first-mile data layer under your existing stack. Farmer1st is the first-mile infrastructure built around farmers: a farmer-controlled network where companies, governments and organisations collect, verify and share origin data, and build the services they need on top of it.
What does integration unlock?
Integrated data is the starting point for every other service:
- verified plots for EUDR compliance and the due diligence statement;
- lots and transactions for traceability and certification and first-mile traceability;
- a clean registry for fraud detection, on your supply base and across buyers if you choose to pool it.
Farmers keep control throughout: shared data is used for the purposes they have consented to.
Can you connect a system you have not seen before?
Yes. Modules switch on as you need them, and if a source or destination needs a specific connector, we prototype it with you in the Nursery.
Frequently asked questions
Which formats and systems can you import from?
Spreadsheets and CSV, GeoJSON, KML and Shapefile for geometries, and exports or APIs from field tools, cooperative systems and certification databases. If a system can export its data, we can bring it in.
Does AI decide how our data is mapped?
No. AI proposes how fields in the source match the first-mile record and suggests transformations. A person reviews and validates every mapping before data is imported, and the validated mapping is reused for the next import.
What happens to duplicates between sources?
The same farmer or plot arriving from several sources is recognised and merged into one verified record. Each merge is recorded, and the original records are kept, so a wrong merge can be traced and undone.
Do we have to replace our ERP or compliance platform?
No. Farmer1st complements the tools you already use. Verified first-mile data flows to your ERP, compliance platform or reporting tools through APIs, webhooks or files.
What if a later import contains different values?
Nothing is overwritten. Each import creates a new version, and differences are flagged for review. You can see which source said what, and when.
