First-mile traceability and EUDR compliance for food and agri companies
Brands, traders, processors, exporters and cooperatives: first-mile data you can file, audit and build on.
Farmer1st gives brands, traders, processors, exporters and cooperatives a first-mile data backbone: verified farmers and plots, audit-ready geolocation, TRACES-ready EUDR due diligence and direct farmer engagement. It plugs into your ERP and compliance platform, and whatever your sourcing model needs specifically is prototyped with you in the Nursery, at low cost.
What you need
Plot-level proof of origin
Regulation and customers ask for geolocated, verifiable evidence from the very first mile, for every lot.
Due diligence that files cleanly
Due diligence reports and statements that pass validation and go straight to EU TRACES, without re-keying.
Data your systems can use
Origin data that flows into your ERP and compliance platform instead of living in one more silo.
Clean data from many suppliers
Farmer and plot lists from cooperatives, agents and earlier programmes, checked and reconciled into one record.
Services that fit your model
A sourcing model, a premium scheme, an audit trail that off-the-shelf software does not cover.
What you can build
EUDR due diligence end to end
From plot mapping and deforestation assessment to the due diligence report and the statement filed in EU TRACES.
Supplier and cooperative onboarding at scale
Field agents register farmers and plots offline-first, with quality checks before anything enters the registry.
Fixing polygons that fail validation
Import existing polygons from any source, correct geometry and overlaps, and assess deforestation up to today.
Human rights and CSDDD evidence
Household surveys, grievance channels and remediation follow-up attached to the same farmer record.
Sustainability programmes
Training, agroforestry and carbon projects that reuse the verified farmer and plot data.
A custom module in the Nursery
What is missing for your supply chain is prototyped with you, then refined until it fits.
Food and agri companies are now asked for proof that starts at the plot. Farmer1st is the first-mile infrastructure built around farmers: a farmer-controlled network where companies, governments and organisations collect, verify and share origin data, and build the services they need on top of it. Brands, traders, processors, exporters and cooperatives use it as the first-mile data layer under the systems they already run.
What do food and agri companies need from the first mile?
Regulations such as the EUDR and the CSDDD expect evidence at the level of the plot and the household. In practice, that means:
- a verified record of every farmer and plot behind a lot;
- audit-ready geolocation and a deforestation assessment up to today;
- a link from each purchase to those plots, through every intermediary;
- due diligence reports and due diligence statements filed in EU TRACES;
- evidence on human rights risks and how they were addressed.
How does Farmer1st fit with the tools we already use?
It sits underneath them. Data integration ingests supplier lists, purchase records and polygons from any field tool or provider, with AI-assisted mapping, and sends verified data to your ERP and compliance platform. Nothing needs to be ripped out. Your teams keep working where they work today, with better data behind them.
How do we get TRACES-ready due diligence?
EUDR compliance covers the whole path: plots mapped and validated with Geo & polygons, deforestation assessed with our method, a public reference method or one that follows your own risk policy, lots linked to plots, and due diligence reports and statements produced and submitted to EU TRACES. See the EUDR guide for the obligations.
How do we onboard thousands of farmers and cooperatives?
Field agent management organises campaigns: missions, visits, data collection offline-first, supervision and quality checks. Existing data from cooperatives and earlier programmes is imported and reconciled first, so agents only collect what is missing. Fraud detection flags implausible volumes and plots declared into several supply chains.
Why is this not a conventional SaaS?
A conventional SaaS gives you a fixed product and asks your process to fit it. Farmer1st gives you modular services you switch on, and builds the missing piece with you. In the Nursery, we map your supply chain and obligations, assemble the existing modules, prototype what is specific to you, and refine it as you use it. Iterating is fast and low-cost because each new module runs on the same network as everything else.
What do we share, and what stays ours?
Everything you bring stays private by default: your farmer registry, plot polygons, prices, volumes and supplier relationships. On the pre-competitive network, you and other buyers can choose to pool what none of you should pay for twice, such as fraud detection, agronomic knowledge, farmer access for surveys or common farmer records, on terms you set together. Farmers control what is shared about them, which gives you a clear legal basis through consent. See Trust.

Is Farmer1st a SaaS platform?
Not a conventional one. It is first-mile infrastructure: modular services you switch on, on a shared farmer-controlled network, and a Nursery that builds what is specific to you. You pay for the stretch of road you need, not for rebuilding the whole road.
Does it replace our ERP or compliance platform?
No. Farmer1st connects to the field tools, ERPs and compliance platforms you already use and supplies the verified first-mile data they need. See Data integration.
Can you file our due diligence statements in EU TRACES?
Yes. EUDR compliance produces due diligence reports and TRACES-ready statements, with direct integration for submission. The EUDR guide explains the obligations.
Which commodities do you cover?
Cocoa, coffee, rubber, palm oil, cashew, spices and cotton, and other smallholder supply chains adapted in the Nursery. See commodities.
Will other buyers see our data?
No. Your farmer registry, plot polygons, prices, volumes and supplier relationships stay private by default. On the pre-competitive network, you can choose to pool what should not be paid for twice, such as fraud detection, with other buyers, on terms you set together.
